Atmospheric Motion

Fog Drift

Ambient background wash, 20s loop. Atmosphere only — never behind foreground content.

Candle Flicker

Subtle brightness wobble, 2s loop. Small accent glows, not large surfaces.

Dust Float

Slow upward drift with fade, 15s loop. Particle-scale only.

Window Glow

Soft pulsing glow, 6s loop. One focal element per screen.

Slow Pulse

Gentle opacity breathing, 4s loop. Idle/waiting states.

Do

Keep body copy in Libre Baskerville — the only font tested for long-form legibility.
Reserve Eater for large display headings (32px+); it is illegible at small sizes.
Use gold sparingly, as an accent — borders, labels, premium moments.
Always pair bone text with charcoal/near-black backgrounds, never pure white or pure black.

Don't

Don't set body paragraphs in Eater or Cinzel Decorative.
Don't use blood/burnt as a background fill for large surfaces — they read as alert states.
Don't stack more than one atmospheric motion effect behind readable text.
Don't introduce new colors outside this palette without updating this page first.
